Designer Lu Fei has always had a creative touch, particularly for his first love, painting. After hard work and personal sacrifices, Lu was admitted to the China Academy of Fine Arts, where he focused on Chinese calligraphy. After graduating, Lu felt in need of a fresh challenge, so instead switched his energies to clothing, eventually launching the label CHICPICCO in 2014. Lu sticks to his traditional roots, loving to use high-quality silk fabrics to create fluid form and lines, and his bubbling creativity means he can produce new designs at a phenomenal rate. His bright and colourful garments have already created a buzz, with his first collection garnering praise and “Best Newcomer” awards. Lu uses the free form spirit of calligraphy to craft clothes that woman can feel free and easy to wear, no matter where they are, or what they are doing.
